I graduated in 1999 from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, USA, Magna cum Laude with a B.A. Honors in Latin. I currently live in Arizona. I have spent the last five years tutoring a variety of subjects, including English, Writing, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Geography, History, and Reading. I’m excited that I am finally able to teach this subject that I have spent so many years studying, in and out of school.
I spend my free time working on standup comedy, writing, creating comic books, ballroom dancing, and studying Latin and Ancient Greek.
I believe that a Latin class should be fun and interesting, but I also believe in ensuring that students learn the class material well and thoroughly through frequent repetitions and regular homework assignments. I do not believe in wasting students’ time with a course that will not allow them to achieve that which is the sole purpose of their being there—learning the Latin language. This end is achieved through frequent and focused class meetings, held as part of a logically ordered course that builds on itself gradually and at a reasonable speed so that students of varying natural aptitudes will all be able to obtain mastery.
